Corolla, like its neighbor to the south (Duck), only has a population of about 500. Corolla is home to over 119 Spanish Mustangs located on a 12,000 acre preserve in the north. Largely a summer community, many of Corolla’s houses are very large and perfect for multi-family vacations. Corolla is home to many famous landmark’s within the outer banks area including the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, the Whalehead Club, the Corolla School House, and the Corolla Wild Horse Museum.
